Chin-Chun (Vincent) Hsu, Ph.D., CMA.
Dr. Hsu received his Ph.D. in International Business (with dissertation on International Accounting) from Saint Louis University in 2003. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and an active member of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). Dr. Hsu joined the UNLV faculty in 2003, and since then, he has consistently taught International Management for seniors, and Accounting courses at various levels: undergraduate, graduate (MBA), and executive business certificate program. Dr. Hsu earned a promotion to associate professor with tenure in 2009.
Dr. Hsu has published one accounting textbook, Cost Accounting–Management Approach, which enjoys a wide distribution among many colleges and universities in Taiwan and has gone through three editions. He also has translated one finance textbook, Essentials of Financial Management by George E. Pinches, from English to Chinese.
Dr. Hsu has published articles in academic journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, Thunderbird International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, OMEGA-International Journal of Management Science, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, and Multinational Business Review. As of March 2014, his published articles have been cited over 1,200 times, based on Google Scholar Citation Count. He holds the Marketing and International Business Department’s “Teacher of Year Award” (2013) and Management Department’s “Researcher of the Year Award” (2007). He is the Highly Commended Award from the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2009 for one of his articles.
Dr. Hsu is in the Editorial Board of two journals: International Journal of Applied Management Science and International Journal of Integrated Supply Management. He is the guest editor of a special issue in Administrative Sciences journal. He also serves as ad hoc reviewer for several prestigious journals, external P&T reviewer, and Ph.D. dissertation committee member.
